City to celebrate completion of SE 47th Terrace Streetscape Improvement Project

The City of Cape Coral will host a public ceremony to celebrate the completion of the SE 47th Terrace Streetscape Improvement Project on Tuesday, February 5 at 4 p.m. at the corner of SE 47th Terrace and SE 10th Place.

The streetscape project began in early February 2018 and is a City of Cape Coral and Community Redevelopment Agency initiative. Over the last year, Chris-Tel Construction executed significant infrastructure improvements involving the reconstruction SE 47th Terrace from Coronado Parkway to SE 15th Avenue. The improvements include:

  • Water and sewer upgrades
  • A roundabout at Vincennes Boulevard
  • Wider multi-use paths for bikes and pedestrians to both sides of the roadway
  • Beautification enhancements throughout the project limits, including new landscaping and irrigation in Club Square and along SE 47thTerrace

Work was scheduled and completed on time in increments to minimize the interruption of construction for local businesses and to keep a majority of the street operational for as long as possible.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the downtown businesses, residents, and visitors for their continued support and patience throughout the entire construction process!
