Upcoming Construction Activities – Week of Dec. 10

What we’re working on the week of December 10, 2018

SCHEDULE OF WORK IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, due to project needs and materials availability. Periodic closures may be necessary.

Crews will continue installation of:

  • Underground utilities at SE 15thAvenue, including storm, sewer, water, and irrigation main lines; and
  • Concrete driveway aprons, landscape beds, and irrigation utilities, as needed.

Crews will also continue back-filling and installing pavers in the multi-colored paver furniture zone.

PLEASE ANTICIPATE INTERMITTENT CLOSURES IN THIS STRETCH OF ROADWAY moving forward in the coming weeks as other items of work, including but not limited to, landscaping may require daytime closures. Vehicular traffic should expect delays and/or detours.

Crews plan to demolish the existing sidewalk at the southwest corner of SE 15th Avenue and construct a new paver sidewalk in its place. This work is expected to begin Monday, December 10 and be completed by Wednesday, December 12, weather-permitting. NOTE: On Tuesday, December 11, crews are expected to pour the concrete in the afternoon, and the drying process will take approximately half a day. During the drying time period only, there will limited to no access to businesses in the area, including Master Barbershop, Hairlook Salon, and Chica Cubana Store.

Crews are also anticipating installation of two crosswalks east of Noela’s before SE 15th Ave., as well as crosswalks at the SE 15th Ave. intersection. No traffic impacts are expected to occur from this work.

Crews are expected to complete crosswalks in the Club Square parking lot next week, and will maintain traffic flow to ensure vehicles can park while construction is ongoing. Crews are also constructing Dumpster enclosures in Club Square and will continue that work.
