Cape Coral, FL – Beginning Monday, June 25, the City of Cape Coral’s construction manager, Chris-Tel Construction, will implement a new traffic detour pattern to perform underground utility work at the intersection of SE 47th Terrace and Vincennes Boulevard.
The intersection will be closed from Monday, June 25 through early August, weather permitting. Crews will install underground utility improvements in the intersection, and construct the roundabout.
A traffic detour is in effect, and a map is shown below. Access to businesses along SE 47th Terrace will be maintained, and businesses ARE OPEN.

The project team will host a Construction Update Q&A on Wednesday, June 20 from 2-4 p.m. at City Subs, 4721 Vincennes Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33904. The public is invited to attend, and should RSVP by emailing info@SE47Terrace.com. Members of the project team will be available to answer any questions.
Customers can access businesses in the vicinity from SE 10th Place or SE 15th Ave. Areas marked in orange are active construction zones temporarily blocked to all traffic. The traffic detour route will direct drivers to travel along SE 46th Lane or Cape Coral Parkway. Customers can call (239) 676-3462 for directions to access businesses.
Motorists should follow posted detour signs and flagger direction while traveling through the work zone. Motorists should expect some delays, and use caution while traveling near the construction zone. Please follow posted speed limits and watch for construction workers.
The SE 47th Terrace Streetscape Project, a City of Cape Coral and Community Redevelopment Agency project, entails significant infrastructure improvements and the reconstruction of the existing roadway from Coronado Parkway to SE 15th Avenue. The improvements consist of the installation of water and sewer upgrades, a roundabout at the intersection of Vincennes Boulevard, and the addition of wide multi-use paths to both sides of the roadway. The improvements also include beautification enhancements along the corridor.
