Temporary sidewalks now in place from Coronado Pkwy to 9th Place

Temporary sidewalks have been established on the north side of the SE 47th Terrace Streetscape project limits to ensure pedestrian safety. Construction crews for the SE 47th Terrace project installed a temporary asphalt sidewalk to help the community travel to businesses along the north side of the roadway from Coronado Parkway to 9th Place.

Crews install the temporary asphalt sidewalk to ensure pedestrian safety within the project limits for the SE 47th Terrace Streetscape Project.

“Now that underground utilities in this area are nearing completion, we’re able to improve the pathway for customers who are using the sidewalk to get to restaurants and shops near our construction zone,” said Yvonne McClellan, a spokesperson for the project.

This temporary pathway will be in place while crews begin constructing the curb and gutters from Coronado Parkway to 8th Court.  Businesses near the active construction zone can be found at http://www.se47terrace.com/links/.
